Reworking the Archives

To my real horror, I found out that when WordPress brought over the archives, while they did bring over the images, the videos were left behind.  I’ve managed to embed the videos of the school presentation, but there’s still at least one video, if not more, that I’ve got to track down and insert in the proper post.  Plus part of the paragraph formatting went.  Oh well, what’s time to a girl like me?.  No pain, no gain.

I’ve also decided to change my “avatar,” as WordPress calls the icon images used in the Profile and Comments, to one much more indicative of my true personality–a jacaré or caiman.  Lazy things, they only stir themselves to eat, and once full are no real danger.  But still and all, fairly nasty tempered.  They do swim better than I do, however.  Still seems right on.  The other was taken on my 70th birthday; the Party Girl really doesn’t feel representative since I don’t turn 70 all that often.

  1. Oh, you are too hard on yourself! Lazy? No way. I’ve read about all the things that you do.

Is there anyway that I can get my icon to show or does only work for WordPress bloggers?

  2. I honestly don’t know about the icon, just that it’s easy to do on WordPress. Teh biggest complaint I had about Blogger was that yes, it certainly looked as if you could do a great deal with it–such as in your blog–, but not easily.

Which is why, lazy creature that I am, I switched! :-)
