Recently, La Prensa published the official inflation rate, from July, 2007 through July, 2008: 19.9%, officially. Most of it, just as with the (I think) 5.6% rate in the US, is driven by fuel and food price increases. Construction costs just keep climbing.
That’s the official rate. I’m certain it’s higher.
