I have not really been following the crisis in Honduras (having a full spectrum of my own crises needing my attention) other than occasionally reading an article in the NY Times. Today, I thought I’d go over to La Gringa’s Blogicito, and found this post for Sunday, July 5 in which she gives an excellent allegory for what is happening in Honduras. It’s very, very well done.

Don’t just read the Sunday posts–read the others, especially Saturday’s. La Gringa has been saying for a long time that Zelaya is a crook.
Everyone is afraid that Honduras will start a cycle of military coups that were prevalent in the 20th century. I think that is the main reason why the OAS, the UN, and the US have condemned the coup. The US media doesn’t seem to go beyond the surface. I’ve been reading the Brasilian newspapers, and they have more in depth coverage.
