I more or less follow two blogs of New York Times columnist: those of Paul Krugman and of Floyd Norris. Norris is the chief financial correspondent of both the New York Times and the International Herald Tribune. Both of these columnists do a pretty good job of making economics and finances more understandable for people like me who have neither the background, nor the aptitude for such topics.
Both of them have a sense of humor, and both will occasionally post off-topic. Here is a link to Norris’ June 25 blog post about politicians; it’s mostly a quote from H.L. Mencken, written in 1934 and shows just how far we’ve come in 75 years. Do enjoy.
